but the execution of the Cody/Molly storyline isn't helping either character. The complications put in their way is high schoolish. Misunderstandings are necessary in soaps, but having Cody getting his knickers in a twist of the first chapter of a book she wrote when the character based on him was bad and taking it personally without seeing how/if the character progressed is stupid. There is thing called character grown where a character is in the beginning is not where they are by the end -- be it growth or villain.
