Even if there was the baby would likely have to be taken into the system momentarily. Plus, I predict this playing out a couple of ways:

1. Crooklyn gets the baby and then after months of bliss, bonding, and they fall in love with him/her the father shows up to claim his child.

2. The father pops up much sooner to challenge the adoption.
