One poster kicked it off and a few folks co-signed. Basically, by pushing him to tell her, she was too busy being a reporter than his mom. She should have told him to take a long shower and put him to bed. I was like um, he’s not 5 years old 😂
Too right.
They also called her dumb for taking him to GH instead of Mercy Hospital—where they would have had anonymity.
That's kinda iffy. But she did take him to Elizabeth, so no issue for me.
I was like their scenes were amazing. She could see her son was hurting and by the way he fell into her arms—they have a bond. She reassured him, she supported him and let him know it was okay to open up to her. He trusts her. He needed her in that moment. She tried to bandage his hand and it was still bleeding. He either needed stitches or more than what a home first aid kit could provide. She took him to GH and specifically asked for Liz because they are family and she loves them. Lulu knew that Liz would not question that knife lie.
All of this!!
I just thought it was interesting—if not unfair criticism. Rocco seemed relieved to have gotten it out! The trauma is already there. Emotional support is a huge part in helping him cope.
Rocco is definitely better off for telling his mom. She has been wonderful.
