It's been wild watching Haley stump. She repeated yesterday in NH that America has "never been a racist country." Meanwhile, Trump is arguing a woman born to Indian immigrants can never be a real American, and people like her are “poisoning the blood of our country.” She likely wants to be VP, but how can anyone take her seriously? Yesterday, she also repeated that she hasn’t been following Trump's sexual-assault case. Ridiculous.
Haley is likely aware that in a recent poll, 64% of Reps. say Trump is a "person of faith” with only 44% saying the same for Haley. She may know prayer and the Bible, unlike Trump, but he's more Christian to them because he's white. For the MAGA crowd, tribal identity is tied to whiteness.
Haley may have gotten where she is by being obsequious to race-baiters, but those ugly bigotries are coming for her with no one around to help defend the gov.
