At times, the President seemed to be rushing to say all that he had planned to say, especially at the beginning. I definitely think the problems with his voice could have been the result of over-prep, given that he was doing 90-minute mock debates during the run-up to the debate. It would probably have been a good idea for him to relax for a couple of days prior to the debate, especially if he’s fighting a cold. I have never seen him look more tense than he did last night.
