I went through all of my monthly costs to see where I could cut back. Through that process I have saved myself $500/year so far (went to a slightly less expensive cell plan, downgraded my audible subscription, and cancelled my local paper). I am already on ad versions of the streaming services I subscribe to so those couldn't be downgraded

I also decided to look for less expensive dupes of the skin care I use. Right now I use a pricey brand and I am almost out of everything so I was due to drop a good chunk in a week or so. I found some well recommended dupes for a lot less.

Finally, I (as a Protestant) toured the Jewish Community Center very near me. They have a really nice fitness facility open to all religions for a fee. A fee that is a lot less than what I am currently paying. As a bonus they have year around water classes. Next week I will start a 7 day trial membership and if the fitness classes are comparable I will cancel my current membership and join the JCC.
