Immigration was a huge issue in this election. Ds need to take stake out a position that is enforcement focused by shining a spotlight on the companies that hire undocumented workers and the R politicians who look the other way for them.
Use every chance they have to highlight R hypocrisy on the issue. Given all of the meat packing plants in SD, Kristi Noem's confirmation hearing will be a great way to do this. Make her own why she hasn't cracked down on the EMPLOYERS in her state that use undocumented workers in their businesses. And do it in a coordinated focused effort. Have that be the ONLY point Ds on the Homeland Security Committee make in the confirmation hearing. Not one of them should go off piste to try and get their own soundbite in. Every question should be about how she she calls for stricter immigration enforcement but gladly looks the other way for her corporate benefactors.
