Trump is emboldened despite barely winning. Last I checked, he had fallen below 50% in the popular vote. Also, if 238K votes in the blue-wall states had gone for Harris, he would have lost — neither the mandate nor landslide victory the media has touted.
Most Americans did not vote to have healthcare, education, FEMA, EPA, HUD, DOJ, and all the other alphabets dismantled. They were primarily concerned about the economy and immigration. Trump’s presidency will likely look like a conservative version of Obama’s: overpromise, overreach, voter backlash, stalemate.
If so, the overreach may help Dems. regain the House in 2026 and prevent President Vance in 2028.
