Tennessee Republican proposes amendment to allow Trump to serve third term
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) proposed an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow President Trump to serve a third term in the White House so that the country “can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs.”
The fine line he's trying to suggest is that the 22nd Amendment precludes someone from serving as president for third term except in the case of the terms not being consecutive. Then, they can serve a third term...unless he's hoping that RePOTUS Trump can hopscotch, returning to office every other term. Give me a break.
