If they're confirming them because RePOTUS Trump is nominating them, they should be quick to dump them when (not if) they screw up, especially when it's an obvious "hanging offense" if a Democrat did something similar, a general crime, or a national security matter.
They need to tell RePOTUS Trump, "We'll keep confirming whoever you nominate; however, we'll immediately impeach/fire whoever causes a major problem that would not only be illegal, immoral, unethical, or fattening, but would also make it almost impossible for any Republican not in the reddest of areas to win or retain their seat." They need to explain the consequences of them losing their seats.
Project 2025 is a blitzkrieg operation that's supposed to last about six months because the ideas are so crazy and the support will be so weak that they have to rush stuff through before people catch on. Based on the side and locations of the protests, the uproar at townhalls that they now try to avoid, and how rapidly people are fleeing the administration, people are catching on and it's not going to last six months. The midterms could be brutal if they aren't seen as "protecting" their constituents. That means dumping the officials who draw the most heat.
