We can't have nice things because we aren't nice people. Enough "not nice" people voted to put RePOTUS Trump back in office. They're selfish and shortsighted. They lack compassion and the ability (or will) to think about the potential impact on other people.
I can't imagine the MAGA types leaving a landing craft and storming a beach into machinegun fire. I can't imagine them rationing for the good of others. These same people wouldn't wear a mask because it might put someone else at less risk.
They're "conservatives." Nothing matters until it has a direct impact on them. And they call themselves Christians. They must think that Jesus Christ was a sucker.
