I ran out around Covid, maybe even before that, and since then the four or five times I've needed to write a check I've had Mr. Kris do it (he used to pay two bills with checks...one of them he ended up canceling and the other the check got lost in the mail so I switched it over to debit instead). I mainly didn't order new checks because I stupidly thought we'd be moving soon and no need to get new ones, hahahahahahahaha.
We can get 60 checks free per year from our credit union, so I went ahead and ordered them. I have plans to write two checks next month - one for my friend's daughter's bet mitzvah, and one for my other friend's high school graduation/18th birthday.
I probably won't write another one until it's time to renew my driver's license in 2031, LOL.
