They see life as concentric circles of protectiveness and
falsely believe that they are in a protected inner circle. It's like poor whites who think they're on the inside because they're white, but will be kicked out in a millisecond because they're
poor. They're on the outer ring of that white inner circle.
That's true for 99.999999999% (just in case there's one out there) political issues. That goes for wages, job security, health care and health access, education access, voting, etc. "I'm not one of 'them.' I hate "them," too!"
They have an easily revoked visa. They're "them."
