Adams was already very corrupt but he’s now doing very Trumpish things. For example, on July 4, Adams took over the Brooklyn Heights promenade to have a private VIP city worker party to view the Macy’s fireworks. Regular people who live in that neighborhood were forbidden to enter the promenade like they usually have for many years on July 4. Only people invited by Adams could be there. This is not an important issue like immigration. But it’s an example of how Adams has been behaving since he tied himself to Trump.

The possibility of Mamdani getting elected really seems to be scaring Trump, his wealthy supporters and both party machines. OMG. Their worst fear — the peasants are uprising! Again, let’s see Trump try a federal takeover of NYC. While he’s at it, he’s also considering a federal takeover of Washington DC too.
