flip phone with TracFone and buys a phone card every few months. I was going to get him at least one, and possibly more, phone cards...and then this year is the year the family decides not to exchange gifts (I'd also already bought him two small things, both Christmas-specific...). At least I can save the phone card idea for his birthday in January.
I feel with older people, gift cards are often the way to go. Maybe a gift card for the local grocery store or a gas card if they're still driving or a gift card for the local theater if they're into movies or a local bookstore if they're into reading? Or just do like Kris Kardashian does in the holiday Shutterfly commercials and get them (and everyone else you know) a Christmas ornament with your smiling face on it 😁
