(no spoilers except for what's already aired on CBS).

Still not loving the original show. I've narrowed it down to two reasons I feel that way; first, I still don't like most of the ghosts. None of the ghosts on the US version ever irritated me like Kitty and her excessive friendliness. Whenever she gets to wailing about how Allison doesn't like her, I want to slap her. I still dislike the poet and the scullery maid as well. I've warmed some to the others, especially the Captain (though he's no Isaac--Isaac was definitely a glow up, as was Thorfinn), and I think the basement plague ghosts on the original are better than the US basement plague ghosts. The second reason I'm not liking the UK version as much as the US version is how little success the UK counterparts have had so far. Sam and Jay are actually running a nice little B&B, though it might not be hugely successful. OTOH, most of the UK episodes of Ghosts have Allison and Mike looking like they might be getting a little ahead--a show comes to shoot there, the mansion's visited by ghost hunters, a wedding planner wants to look around--only to have it backfire or come crashing down at the end of the episode. Ugh. I don't want to see all that failure, and I certainly don't find it funny.
