that writing in a combination of print and cursive is supposedly a sign of creativity.
It kind of amazes me that, to some people, cursive might as well be Greek. Now I feel like I may be writing in a secret code, LOL.

I’ve always been told that I have nice handwriting, which is surprising because I’m a lefty.
Huh. I've never heard of lefties being more likely to have bad handwriting, except for the fact that since English is written left to right, lefties run the risk of accidentally dragging their hand through still wet ink. I've only known a handful (no pun intended) of lefties well enough to have occasion to read their handwriting and all but one have decent to nice handwriting. The lone exception is my bff...her handwriting is nearly illegible. In her defense, she also holds her pencil (or pen or marker or crayon) oddly, holding it at the base of her index and middle fingers and then making a fist and curling her entire hand inward. The woman went through 13 years of Catholic school--I'm a little surprised some nun didn't beat her bad grip out of her.
I’m glad I can read cursive because my sister and I have a packet of letters that our mom wrote to her mom during the early years of her marriage. And those letters are in cursive. We’re going to sit down with a bottle of wine and read those letters together. It would be sad if we couldn’t read them.
Exactly! I've not read them but somewhere in the attic are all the love letters between my mom and dad. When Dad's gone, I plan on reading them. Weirdly, Mom wrote in cursive her entire life but Dad has ALWAYS printed his words. Also weirdly, Dad is a kind, gentle giant but he prints in small, angry-looking, blocky letters, all caps. Your handwriting is supposed to be a reflection of your personality but Dad's doesn't fit him at all.
