we put a metal roof on the house 7 or 8 years ago, and I have to say one of the most satisfying things is when the snow sheds off.
we had snow last week, and then the temps plummeted, so NOTHING was melting, instead everything froze into giant blocks of ice.
well, today it's above freezing and the sun is out, so all the snow is shedding off the roof today in SPECTACULAR fashion. It's not just sliding off, and landing in piles, it's quite literally JETTISING off the roof in loud streams that are flying a good 4-5 FEET away from the house.
I don't even know why I get so much enjoyment out of it, but sometimes it makes me laugh so hard, I almost cry!
