42-yr old teacher in Minnesota who has stage 4 cancer (melanoma). I’m really enjoying it. I both laugh out loud and cry real tears while watching. They got the balance right for a dark comedy about cancer.
Laura Linney, as usual, is terrific. She leads a very good regular cast. And the show has a lot of good guest and recurring actors including Idris Elba, Cynthia Nixon, Brian Cox, Liam Neeson and Alan Alda.
There are only 4 seasons (3.5 really). I’m sure that a dark comedy about cancer is not everybody’s cup of tea. But I can tell you that as a cancer survivor myself, I am really enjoying it. I’m pretty sure that LL’s character, Cathy, will not be as lucky as me though.
