the local ones, lol. Six months ago, I only knew the major ones like cardinals, blue jays, crows, robins, and yes, ducks and geese. Ducks quack, are smaller and wayy cooler than geese. Geese are loud and obnoxious, usually honking or hissing at you (and I still love them. They don't hiss at me, but I know I'm lucky. I usually just give them a shout out "Hey geese I come in peace" and they move off the sidewalk to the pond.
The pond is at the turn in to the subdivision where I live. I walk by it daily just to see the water birds and get sad if none are there. They were my gateway to birds. Ducks are still my faves.
