going on here that we have frequent flat tires. Grrr. Just happened to me in October - whilst recovering from COVID. I felt well enough on my last day off to run some errands - just in the neighborhood, and POP goes a tire. AAA was with me in less than 10 minutes. So I pay a premium price for the three of us.
That day, I managed to slowly drive the car to a nearby Shell station. Who, it turned out, could plug the puncture (it was a stupid nail), so all AAA did was help get the tire off my car and into the repair bay at the station. But it was worth it.
Also, you need the higher price for longer-distance towing. Since the Suburu place is like 11 miles from home I need that.
