it for a while now...I read the book, and while the book is (unsurprisingly) better, I thought the movie was fairly well adapted. I'm not one to have favorite actors or actresses but kudos to Tom Hanks for having played a wide variety of characters and never once making me think of a previous character of his. It was also cool seeing his son playing a younger version of his character. I'm giving the movie a solid B+; it didn't utterly wow me but it was a solid movie, well acted all around, and I laughed quite a bit.
That ending though...and that's all I'll say here because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.
