I was skeptical because this kind of fantasy genre is not usually my cup of tea. But I agreed to watch S1 to give it a fair chance and then decide whether I wanted to watch more seasons. I am now halfway into S2 and, at this time, planning to watch the whole series.
I think what sucked me in is (1) there are quite a few characters that I care about and (2) I generally like the way many of the women characters are written (strong!) It’s also a plus that they are not afraid to kill off main characters.
So far, some of my favorite characters are:
🦇 The entire Stark family but especially Ned, Catelyn, Arya and Jon Snow
🦇 Tyrion Lannister
🦇 Daenerys Targaryen
