that kind of ad placement. And if that is helping Jeff keep SZ alive, I can deal with it. There are other sites that have those kinds of ads (SoapCentral, for example). They are, no doubt, intrusive. I just try to adjust by training myself to read and scroll in a different way in an attempt to make scrolling past those ads more automatic. I will only do it for certain sites. SZ is one of them.
I do understand advertisements becoming a deal breaker though. It’s why I watch very few shows on the dinosaur networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) anymore. After years of watching shows on Showtime and HBO uninterrupted by commercials, I mostly can’t tolerate the way commercials on the old networks constantly disrupt the pace of the shows, especially dramas in which suspense and tension are important.
