Awww. Such a sweet story. I’m glad that little girl knew to look for a police officer and ask for help. So, she wasn’t a real police officer. She just plays one on TV. She still took the time to help the child find her mother.

“The line between Mariska Hargitay‘s on- and off-screen lives recently became really blurry, when a young girl reportedly interrupted a Law & Order: SVU location shoot in New York City to ask the actress to help her find her mother.

Apparently the child and her mother became separated at Anne Loftus Playground in Fort Tryon Park in northern Manhattan on Wednesday, April 10. SVU happened to be shooting some outdoor scenes in the park that day, as well. And when the girl saw Benson’s police badge hanging from Hargitay’s belt, she thought the Emmy winner was a real NYPD cop and asked for help finding her parent…”. (Full story linked above)
