go see Home Free, then drive us back to her house in Greensboro for a few days' visit. One of those days, we met my nephew in Chapel Hill. He got his undergrad degree from there as well...and now that I think about it, I was there for that graduation too, so this will be my third trip to the campus. The second time--after the HF concert--we only took a quick spin through the campus and then spent some time visiting with my nephew at his workplace and then eating at Crook's Corner (which I just looked on Google and saw it was "temporarily closed"? I hope it really is just temporary...my meal was great!).
Also while we were in the area, Sis and I stopped at Carr Mill Mall. I told good church friend we WERE going to go there on this trip; there's a place that does knockoff perfumes that makes a great replica of the white tea fragrance found in the nicer Westin hotels. There's also a place specializing in beads--Firefly--that I want to check out, and gcf, who's a kid at heart, wants to see AliKats, which is a small toy store in Carr Mill Mall.
I don't mind more than a night, but at my age, there is the CPAP to schlep and all the meds to pack LOL. So there's that, and even making lists, I always forget something.
Ah, the joys of traveling while older, huh <g>? I'm lucky in that I only take lisinopril but I *will* have to remember to pack that. Everything else I figure I could buy while there if I have to...but I don't want to.
One of the nice things about driving to a vacation destination: your car is basically a rolling suitcase <g>. I can overpack to my heart's content!
