There's Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Fresh Thyme, Heinen's, Giant Eagle, Dave's, Lucky's and Aldi. There's also the smaller, mom and pop places like Mentor Family Grocery, Miles Farmer's Market, Sun Plum, Produce Place and Sweet Berry Market. And of course you can get groceries among other items at Walmart, Target, Meijer and Discount Drug Mart. That's just off the top of my head--I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. The competition for my grocery dollars is fierce and it amazes me how some grocery stores feel justified in charging more for the exact same product. This was a while ago but I remember pricing a 4 pack of Virgil's root beer (my favorite root beer). Trader Joe's wanted $3.99, Giant Eagle wanted $4.49, Heinen's and Whole Foods both wanted $5.99 and a now defunct health foods grocer--Mustard Seed Market--wanted $6.99. For the exact same product. Guess where I bought it at?
