is by selling almost exclusively house TJ’s brand items. They only sell a handful of items that aren’t TJ’s brand. Offhand, I can’t think of any TJ’s items that I don’t like and there are many that I love. For example, their Joe’s Ohs are as good as Cheerios. Their water crackers are as good as Carr’s. Their ketchup is as good as Heinz. And many TJs items are a third of the price of the big national brands — even though many TJs items are organic. I love that they never have sales but have regular low prices instead.
ETA that I love trying new foods. So I’m always eager to see what TJ’s newest items are. They regularly introduce new items. The downside of that is that some favorite items get discontinued to make room for new items. Also many items are seasonal so we have to wait for them to come back. But, in a way, that makes those items more special.
Whole Foods, on the other hand, is expensive. I haven’t been to one in a while.
