One of the Appropriations chairs just flat out killed a bill that would have eliminated pre-existing condition exclusions for Medi-gap policy holders. Other states have done this but not CA I guess >:(
The cost was tiny, but she killed it anyway. This is *not* a policy committee, but she acted like it was one and yeah...not the only bill this happened to.
I am very displeased.
Most everything else we considered a priority got through, however.
