I've all but heard Tommy called a "groomer" trying to take advantage of Buck. I say this with great affection and love for Buck, but he is the biggest manwhore on the show. He's probably slept with more people than the other main characters combined. 😂 He is not being manipulated or mistreated.
They act that way in retrospect about Abby as well...that Buck was some little innocent babe being groomed by a much older woman. Buck knew what he was doing. He was an adult man. There was no power differential. He wanted to date Abby and didn't care that she was older than he was.
It's an attitude that I don't recall actually existing in Season 1 when the relationship actually happened. It's an attitude retroactively imposed on the relationship.
However one feels about that relationship (I personally liked it because I loved the age reversal) Buck's issue was nothing related to the relationship; it was how she handled the breakup.
Now if you want to talk about his therapist who had sex with him, that's the one time someone was inappropriate with him when he was in a vulnerable position.
