a few towns over. Many years ago, one Qdoba came to town, then many followed. I prefer Qdoba to Chipotle (I'm in the minority on that one, at least among family members) and even had them cater my 50th birthday party. And then suddenly all the Qdobas disappeared, practically overnight. This happens with some frequency in my neck of the woods; I've seen it before with Quizno's and Cold Stone Creamery, and now I'm seeing a bunch of Burger Kings, Boston Markets and TGIFridays near me closing.
Anyways...I wasn't sure if this was the same Qdoba until I went inside. I got a salad topped with chicken, rice, beans and salsa and was thrilled that both queso and guacamole were free to add on. It was really, really good! Only two minor hiccups: first, I'd wanted the citrus dressing on my salad but they were out of it (I didn't miss it terribly). And second, English wasn't the first language for the cashier. She asked me what kind of chicken I had on my salad. That confused me...I didn't think there were different kinds of chicken. So I told her "adobe" and she apparently heard "double" because she charged me for extra chicken on my salad, which I didn't get. I didn't notice till I'd finished eating and had left. Oh well...it still cost less than Chipotle and it certainly won't deter me from returning.
