thing was that I didn’t have a duplicate key with me. My second dumb thing was losing my only car key. I eventually found my keys by retracing my steps and finding them in a bin of film in a Walmart. I guess they were in my pocket (a third dumb thing) and they fell out when I leaned over to get some film out of the bin. My fourth and, perhaps, dumbest dumb thing was that I still didn’t make a duplicate of my car keys during a roughly 3 month cross country trip. I made it to California and back to NY despite being an idiot kid. Don’t even get me started about the time I hitchhiked to FL and back during spring break. I did a few really dumb things during that trip. Way dumber than losing my keys. That trip was before I had a car.
