Liz Danvers in True Detective. I thought she was terrific in the role. I loved how she wore her tough, hardened demeanor like a defensive armor but she couldn’t snuff her caring, empathetic self out. Her struggle to not feel what she couldn’t help feeling was palpable throughout the series. I think Jodie Foster is an awesome actress and I thought Kali Reis really held her own with JF as Navarro.
