her hubby were on vacation for a few days last week; I picked up their mail and watered their garden. To thank me, A insisted on taking me to Bibibop and buying me "whatever I wanted", which was so sweet. A Bibibop "original" bowl is large enough that I can make at least one, possibly two more lunches out of it, plus I got some more iced tea to go. I love fast food or fast casual restaurants that have a self serve beverage station 👍
Afterwards, A asked me if I'd mind terribly stopping at Heinen's, which is the higher end grocery store around these parts. I didn't mind...lately, Heinen's is the only place I can find Hint water in mango flavor. Better still, I found some buckwheat pancake mix at a fairly reasonable price. Dad grew up on buckwheat pancakes and was lamenting just the other day how he'd like to make some but he can't find any buckwheat pancake mix anywhere. I thought that might make (part of) a good Father's Day gift, so I started searching online...the only result I got for "buckwheat pancake mix near me" was Amazon, and it was kind of pricey ($9-11 a bag). Heinen's had not one but TWO different brands; one bag cost $5.99 and the other $6.99.
Best of all...Dad's a cheapskate who almost never goes into Heinen's (the only times he's been in Heinen's is when he's been looking for something specific for someone else, such as when his sister wanted a jar of Hellmann's fat free mayo), so there's little chance he'll spoil the surprise 😁
