I have thought for some time that your workplace sounds … let’s just say less than professional. I’m glad you’re looking for something else, but I’m sorry about the why. I know you must feel like you have no choice given how you are being treated right now.
I know it’s a daunting process after being there for so long. I had to find a new job after being at the same one for ten years, and I was over 60 so I was terrified. It turned out fine and I ended up better off financially and emotionally. So you can do this.
I read your posts, and I know you care about your work and are a conscientious employee. If you’re getting this treatment for an honest mistake — one you have owned and apologized for — then maybe it’s just time to move to on.
