We're trying to decide how to go to avoid the PA 'Pike this summer as much as possible even though we have the EZ pass. Which is a cheaper rate than the "toll by plate".ETA
I did see I could get an EZ pass after the fact (which would cost me an initial fee of $3)...that would reduce my toll to $19. Which is STILL about $9 more than my wildest expectations of how much the toll was going to cost me. Had I thought more about this driving trip as opposed to just letting Google Maps tell me how to get home (I've only been using Google Maps for about a year and have only needed to rely on it maybe a half dozen times, so I'm still figuring out how it works), I would've discovered how expensive the tolls were (Google Maps should TELL me how much the tolls are instead of just warning me there's tolls...maybe it does). And I would've spent an extra 30 minutes going the toll-free way.
You were *thisclose* to me. Warrendale/Cranberry is a 10-15 minute drive.
