the Bible instructs me to and picking my battles. We're talking about a train ride here, not a choice that would affect the rest of either women's life. And again, if the younger woman knew she was prone to panic attacks, why engage in a standoff that would lead to one? If I'm allergic to nuts, I don't make myself a PB & j sandwich for lunch. I choose something else to eat.

ETA--I also don't believe for one second that being escorted off the train for putting her feet on a stranger is going to change the older woman's thoughts or behaviors one bit. I'm betting she gave exactly zero effs, doesn't think she did anything wrong and sees herself as the victim. So where's the victory here for the younger woman?
