I don't know why, but it makes me a little stabby when I see a mom in a grocery store handing her toddler animal crackers or a juice box before paying for said item. Like, either make the kid wait the ten minutes it's going to take to finish your shopping, pay and get to the car or else feed your kid before going to the store! As I mentioned, I have a bit more sympathy for diabetic individuals. One of the very few times I got into an argument with a friend of mine is when she talked about shopping with her diabetic mom and "regularly" buying her a soft drink when mom's blood sugar was low. I obviously didn't want harm to come to her mom but as I told my friend, what if you were in a shoe shop or a specialty clothing or jewelry shop and your mom's blood sugar plummeted? I thought that's why diabetics and their caregivers usually carry candy in their purse or pocket.
