call him Mike but people do make fun of it. My other buddy's name was Sumner. People loved calling him SUMMER. And I had a college friend named Pantelacki after his grandfather. We called him Lacki for short.
Sumner is a nice, strong name...but I can see people teasing him and calling him Summer. Pantalecki is...very unusual. I think were I him, I'd be going either by a middle name, a nickname or initials (for example, if he was Pantalecki James, he could be P.J.)
My other buddy's name is Edosia. He doesn't like it. We call him Ozzie. My coworker's first name is Comfort.
Edosia is lovely...and easily shortened to Ozzie, Oz or even just Ed or Eddie. Lots of good options there. Please tell me your co-worker Comfort has a sister named Joy <g>.
