Challengers. The directing was good (as the acting), but the movie just bored me. (DVD from library)

Ete 85 (Summer of 85): French adaptation of Dance on my Grave, a British novel from the 1980s, about two male teens who meet and fall in love, and one of them dies in a motorcycle accident. It was actually better than the book! Kanopy (free streamer with most library cards, check it out!).

Popeye. I can't remember if I saw it as a kid or not, but I remember the end for some reason but nothing else. I had it on my Kanopy list since I'd like to see more of Robert Altman...probably not his most representative, but I wanted to watch it now to honour Shelly Duvall. I enjoyed it, but I do like musicals.

Jacob’s Ladder. 1990 film that came recommended from the David Lynch subreddit. It's supposedly horror, but more about the horrors of PTSD after Vietnam as a man slowly loses grip on reality. I really enjoyed this one. (Kanopy)

The Killing of the Sacred Deer. I really don't know how I missed this one since I love both Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell, and I tend to see all of NicoleK's movies soon after release. A teen is hellbent on revenge after a surgeon makes a mistake that ends his father's life. The less knowing going into it the better, but it also could be triggering. It's from Yorgos Lanthimos. (Max)

A Low Down Dirty Shame. I did not know Kristina Wagner had a bit cameo on this as a character on the soap As The Heart Turns. The movie is typical 1990s action but fun overall. (DVD)

A Family Affair: Nicole Kidman Is Joey King's mom and Zac Efron is her boss, and Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron start a relationship. Not great. I might have liked it better if it was released at Christmas, as it takes place at Christmas (but not a Christmas movie...)

The Fall Guy: Ryan Gosling is a stunt man who finds himself in an action movie of his own. There's a reason why it bombed...not the best, but Gosling was pretty in it at least. (DVD)
