not force everyone to do everything. I've been on trips like that...not fun.
Years ago my (half)sister got married in Key West. She married the youngest of six. We all stayed at the same hotel for a week. It was great, we had parents and kids ranging all ages. Every day some people would go off sightseeing and others would stay back at the hotel pool. We took turns watching each others kids, depending on what people wanted to do. And then on the last night the two moms (mother of the groom and mother of the bride, both dads were gone) babysat all the kids (with the help of the teenage grandkids) so that all the brothers and sisters (and spouses) of the bride and groom could go out to an adult dinner together. It was so much fun. And as the evening progressed, the parents of the youngest kids/babies left right after dinner, and the parents of the teens stayed out the longest. My sister has since divorced him, but we still have very fond memories of that wedding week vacation.
