who built a space into their house for one of their elderly parents. It was almost like an apartment within the house. It had a bedroom, its own bathroom and a living room. But no kitchen. The parent used the main (only) kitchen. I’ve also heard that it’s becoming popular to build a separate “little house” on the property for a parent to live in.
