There’s an 88-yr old woman named Simona who swims at my pool. She’s very sharp and very stylish. I can totally see Simona working at Chico’s. She’s a real hoot too. She still makes her 92-yr old husband gin & tonics but says she stopped putting the gin in them awhile ago and he doesn’t seem to have noticed. She doesn’t want him to fall down.
LOL at the gin and tonic minus the tonic! Simona sounds amazing...and what a lovely name!
It sounds like you’ve got some very nice coworkers.
I do! Three of them are absolute sweethearts. One annoyed me a little the first day I worked with her but I've come to realize she thought she was being helpful (she wasn't) and she's also really nice. There's one I've not met yet. There's one I've only worked with twice so far...she's the one who complains about everything and spends most of her time just rearranging the jewelry to her liking. Also, one day I'd brought in a sleeve of Ritz crackers and left them in the back room by my phone. After D punched in for the morning, she came out and said "I ate one of your crackers". I'm assuming she knew they were mine because she either asked our store manager or she knew SM doesn't eat crackers but still..."I ate one of your crackers?" No "I hope you don't mind" or "I'm sorry, I didn't realize they were yours" or "May I have one of your crackers?" (I would've said yes). I've heard about those people who steal other people's lunches out of the workplace fridge, and I've had co-workers that took generous handfuls of candy I'd put out in a candy dish but I've never had anyone just brazenly tell me they ate something of mine. OK then!
I'm also not a big fan of SM. She's fine when things are going perfectly but she gets crabby quickly when they don't, and that's tiresome, especially when she takes it out on us. I get that it's "her" store, and she works a LOT of hours because of her help not always being available but she needs to check her attitude, especially when she frequently tells customers to check theirs.
