It rained HARD while I was at work this morning. A few people came in just to get out of the rain. It slowed/stopped very briefly and then it rained HARD again when it was time for me to leave. For the third time in about 6 weeks, I'd left all my windows down about 2" during a rainstorm and drenched the interior of my car :-( Once I was in my car and in motion, it started to hail. It sounded like I was sitting in a tin can being pelted by a bb gun. The rain didn't let up the entire time I drove to the grocery store about 10 minutes away and while I was struggling to grab my umbrella from the back seat (I don't know why...I was already pretty wet), I got even more soaked. When I got home, I had to change literally every article of clothing because they weren't just wet, they were sticking to me. Since I've been home, it's rained HARD two more times. We have standing water in the yard and ditches are overflowing.
But you know what? As of right now, we still have power, and I'm so very, very grateful for that.
