and what I'm most surprised at is how randomly unnecessary all of Paris was.
and I still think Claire treated poor Frank atrociously when she returned. Why was she so MEAN to him? he quit literally did nothing except love her.
the scenery must have been what drew me into this show - it is just so utterly beautiful. As the seasons progress, they do more and more 'in studio' and it shows to someone for whom the background and scenery were so impactful.
I also found myself a bit underwhelmed with the last couple of seasons, but Brianna and Roger taking their kids back to Lallybroch/80s made me want to start watching again. Also the prospect of Claire, Jamie and Ian going back to Lallybroch.
I haven't read the books, but I assume the story ends when Jamie and/or Claire dies...that would make sense. I know the books kind of transition the story way from Jamie and Claire to Brianna and Roger, so maybe there IS spin-off in the future?
would I watch it? maybe, maybe not.
