Downtown. Since March 2022, when we went back to the office three days a week, traffic between here and downtown (all of 6 miles) was really light.

Unfortunately, state workers were called back to the office earlier this summer. Some 5 days, some 2 or 3. Depends on the department.

That's meant traffic is back to pre-pandemic levels. Yay! Now my 15 minute commute is more like 25 or 30, because Sacramento drivers are idiots. ::WHINE::

When I drive in I do have to go by the turnoff to the Capitol "swing space" on 11th Street, and with session in its final days, Q Street (where I get off I-5) can get really backed up.

FORTUNATELY, tomorrow is the last day for session, so we'll get some relief until early January.
That's IF Newsom doesn't call another Special Session. However, that'll be very narrowly focused (gas prices) so it won't impact the commute as much as regular session.
