that, apparently, has attained cult status. Somehow I missed it in 2012 when it came out.

The premise is:
A disaffected magazine intern (Aubrey Plaza) befriends an unusual guy (Mark Duplass), who is looking for a partner to accompany him on a trip back through time.

He places this ad: “Wanted: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. P.O. Box 91 Ocean View, WA 99393. You'll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. I have only done this once before. SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED.” and she answers it, thinking there might be a story in it.

I couldn’t find it streaming anywhere that I have current access to so I found a used DVD copy. In September, a new musical play based on this movie is opening Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Next Wave Festival and I’m going to see that. So I got a bee in my bonnet about tracking down the film before I see the theater production. And I’m glad I did. It will be interesting to see how it translates from film to live theater. Ryan Miller, of the band Guster, wrote the music. I am completely unfamiliar with Guster or Ryan Miller’s music but he wrote the score for the movie so I have a clue.

In short, it was a fun, feel good movie and I’m hoping for a fun night of theater based on the film.
