Boars Head Cracked Peppermill Smoked Turkey used to be a staple for me. But I haven’t bought any (or any other sliced deli meat or cheese) since the July recall. It’s probably “safe” by now but it’s still not very appealing. It doesn’t help that it was getting ridiculously expensive. As they try to come back from this fiasco, I wonder if BH will be even more expensive to make up for all those losses and potential upcoming lawsuits? Or will there be sales to try to win customers back? I realize that there are always plenty of recalls for all kinds of products, including at my beloved Trader Joe’s. But this was a big one and people died.
