The recent news that there is a Bourdain biopic in the works at A24 sparked me to get around to reading Kitchen Confidential:Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly. It covers Bourdainโs life from childhood through his early 40s when he was the chef at Les Halles in NYC before his television career began. Sadly, in a way, this book makes his shocking suicide in 2018 slightly less surprising.
