else Frederik Bachman has written...

Seriously, I am in love with this series. I laughed, I cried, I felt it ALL. I tell people about it and they say, โ€œhockey?โ€ Yes, hockey. But as I always try to explain, hockey is just the thing that brings the characters together. Iโ€™m almost afraid to read more Bachman, because I canโ€™t imagine anything living up to Bear Town.

I know I'm the odd one out here, but Sea of Tranquility was a Did Not Finish for me...I enjoyed the Station Eleven book though (never watched the series).

I understand that. I didnโ€™t love parts โ€” the beginning in particular was kind of a snooze โ€” but when the various strands of the story finally came together, I was impressed.

I had the exact same reaction to The Lincoln Highway. I had high expectations because I thought it would be one thing, which was a very small part of the novel...I ended up liking it overall, but I wanted more of the road trip/experiences on the Lincoln Highway.

It was the relationships between the main characters that finally drew me in, and I loved that the ending felt just.

One of these days I'll get around to American Dirt!

Yes, one of these days we will all get to those books we mean to read. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks for sharing all your reads! Lots of good ones :)

My pleasure.
